 CHRISTMAS CONCERTS and singing events December 2017

Friday December 1 - 
7.30pm  Dent Memorial Hall - Folk Carols concert - Tickets £7.50 from Sedbergh TIC, via phone or email or if any remaining from the door. (Part of Folk Carols harmony singing weekend with workshops, concerts, ceilidh, singing walk, accommodation, meals etc.)

Saturday December 2 - 
10-12.30pm and 2-4.30pm: Dent Meditation Centre - Folk Carols workshops
12.30pm Pub carols in the Sun Inn, Dent
7pm  Dent Memorial Hall - Folk Carols Ceilidh with Lucia's fabulous festive feast, visiting choirs, ceilidh band and caller. Tickets £12.50  (Part of Folk Carols harmony singing weekend with workshops, concerts, ceilidh, singing walk, accommodation, meals etc.)

Sunday December 3 - 
10am - Dent Meditation Centre - Carols from afar workshop.
12.30  Dent Memorial Hall - lunch followed by singing walk up Dentdale. 

Tuesday December 5 -
9pm Singing in the Badger Bar, Rydal (between Ambleside and Grasmere) - with Lakeland Voices and Penrith Community Choir. 

Thursday December 7 - 
7.30pm  Penrith Parish Centre - "Toasts and Good Cheer" -  concert with the Penrith Community Choir - carols, readings and festive songs- refreshments. Tickets at the door.

Saturday December 9 - Settle Carlisle Folk Carols 
9am - Folk Carols workshop in Langwathby village hall, then singing in Langwathby, Appleby and Ribblehead stations, Langwathby station cafe, Station Inn at Ribblehead, Golden Lion in Settle - and on the train  - with The Settle Carlisle Singers, Lakeland Voices, Penrith Community Choir, Settle Voices and singers from the Keighley Road Jolly Wassailers. 

Tuesday December 12 - 
8pm  Strickland Arms, Sizergh near Kendal. Informal folk carols concert (and many to join in with) with Lakeland Voices, Penrith Community Choir and the Kendal Revellers in this wonderfully welcoming pub. Free. 

Saturday December 16 - 
12.30pm  Acorn Bank, Temple Sowerby near Penrith - Folk Carols by the fire - in the hall of this fabulous National Trust property near Penrith with the Penrith Community Choir and Lakeland Voices. Entrance fee to Acorn Bank (free for NT members) - carols free! Collection for the Sunbeams Music Trust - charity providing music therapy for disabled children. Followed by singing in the Kings Arms in Temple Sowerby

Sunday December 17 - 
2.30pm  Cautley Church, Cautley near Sedbergh - The Cautley Carollers and other well known carols to join in with. Free

Sunday December 17 - 
7.30pm  Lancaster Friends Meeting House, The Gladly Solemn Sound,  Christmas concert. Tickets at the door - details 

Sunday December 31 - New Year's Eve singing party with singing and dancing in Oakdene country house Sedbergh. With festive meal - 6pm to after midnight - with some first footing as well to wish our neighbours a very happy new year.
